On November 28th, 2023, Longxin’s product launch and user conference opened at the National Convention Center.

On the same day, the new generation general-purpose processor Loongson 3A6000 and printer control chip Loongson 2P0500 were released on site, and the Loongson processor core IP and Loongson autonomous instruction system architecture authorization plan were publicly announced.

Long Kai, Deputy Director of the Information Technology Development Bureau of the Central Cyberspace Administration, congratulated Longxin on its achievements in the conference. In recent years, Longxin has continuously promoted breakthroughs in core technologies, continuously improved the performance of domestic chips, and made significant progress in the construction of the industrial ecosystem. Shi Huikang, Deputy Director of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated in a speech at the conference that the launch of the Loongson 3A6000 processor demonstrates that domestic CPUs have reached new heights in terms of independent controllability and product performance, and also proves that China has the ability to create first-class products in self-developed CPU architectures. Gu Jinxu, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, stated that as a representative of Beijing’s technological innovation enterprises, Longxin is fully committed to accelerating the significant leap of independent information technology and providing solid support for technological self-reliance and self-improvement.

The conference officially released the Loongson 3A6000 processor on site. The Longxin 3A6000 processor is completely independently designed and has excellent performance, representing the latest milestone achievement in the field of independent desktop CPU design in China.

3A6000 Universal CPU Chip

The Loongson 3A6000 processor adopts the Loongson Autonomous Instruction System (LoongsArch) architecture, which is the first product of Loongson’s fourth generation microarchitecture. It has a main frequency of 2.5GHz and integrates four newly developed high-performance LA664 processor cores. It supports simultaneous multithreading technology (SMT2) and has a total of eight logic cores on the entire chip. Integrated security and trustworthy module, providing secure startup solutions and support for national security (SM2, SM3, SM4, etc.) applications.

According to the test results of the Saixi Laboratory of the China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization, at a frequency of 2.5GHz, the single process fixed/floating point scores of the SPEC CPU 2006 base reached 43.1/54.6 points, and the multi process fixed/floating point scores reached 155/140 points, respectively; SPEC CPU 2017 base single thread (rate1) fixed/floating point scores reached 5.05/7.78 points, single process multi thread (speed) fixed/floating point scores reached 6.66/18.1 points, and multi process (rate8) fixed/floating point scores reached 21.3/21.0 points, respectively; The measured bandwidth of Stream exceeds 42GB/s; The measured score of Unixbench exceeds 7400 points. Based on comprehensive testing results, the overall performance of the Loongson 3A6000 processor is comparable to Intel’s 10th generation Core quad core processor, which was launched in 2020.

Longxin 3A6000 is compatible with Longxin architecture processor software such as Longxin 3A5000. On the basis of continuous compatibility, operating system enterprises such as Tongxin and Qilin fully support the new features of Longxin 3A6000. Longxin 3A6000 has improved its support for binary translation in software hardware collaboration, which can improve the efficiency of binary translation, run a wider range of cross platform applications, and meet various large and complex desktop application scenarios.

2P0500 printer main control chip

Longxin 2P0500 is a main control SOC chip suitable for single/multifunctional printers. This chip adopts a heterogeneous size core structure and integrates multiple functional modules such as DDR3 memory, GMAC, OTG, etc. It has functions such as printing data reception, parsing and processing, printing engine control, scanning timing control, data scanning, image processing, motor control, etc. A single chip can meet various typical application requirements such as printing, scanning, and copying. Longxin Zhongke has launched various solutions such as printers, scanners, and copiers based on Longxin 2P0500, and has cooperated with multiple mainstream domestic printer manufacturers to complete various application adaptations such as printing, scanning, and copying.
