Within the UNITROL 6000 excitation system, the AC800PEC NSMP (Non-Synchronous Measurement Processor) serves as a high-density local integrated I/O acquisition board for the PEC80 rack. It operates in conjunction with the PCD231 (3BHE025541R0101) main controller, GFD233A (3BH022294R0101) CCI pulse board, PCD232A (3BHE022293R0101) LIN communication board, and PCD235B1101 (3BHE032025R1101) excitation controller, finding wide application in static excitation cabinets for generators in combined-cycle power plants. It acquires measurement points that do not require synchronization with the generator terminal voltage, such as excitation DC voltage and current, power cabinet heatsink temperature, fan inlet and outlet air temperatures, field discharge circuit voltage, and internal cabinet ambient temperature. The module performs signal isolation, hardware filtering, and open-circuit/short-circuit diagnostics, while outputting quality flags for the measured values; it does not acquire synchronous AC quantities from terminal PTs/CTs, as the processing of synchronous AC signals is handled by the CCI board’s SMP.
