The VMEbus 2eSST performance 2eSST protocol has been in existence for some time (the draft trial standard was released in 1999 and became the ANSI standard in 2003), but so far, the 2eSST board will not work on the standard VMEbus backplane because existing VMEbus transceivers cannot support the required VMEbus 2eSST signal speed.
