Teledyne Dalsa’s newly launched Xtium ™ 2-XGV PX8 is a compatible GigE Vision ® The image capture card uses a real-time unpacking engine to integrate GigE Vision ® Convert the image package to a ready to use image. It also utilizes hardware assisted packet retransmission logic to improve the reliability of image transmission and reduce CPU overhead (occupancy rate). The Xtium2-XGV PX8 can capture images from single or multiple independent 10, 5, 2.5, or 1GigE Vision area array cameras, line array cameras, and 3D shape sensors (3D cameras).

The new Xtium2-XGV PX8 inherits the proven technology and performance of Teledyne DALSA’s Xtium2 series image capture cards. It is a semi long multi port 10 Gigabit Ethernet image capture card suitable for PCI Express ™ Gen 3.0 x8 platform (interface). It has multiple link speeds and scanning configurations, supporting up to 32 cameras. The Xtium2-XGV PX8 adopts a four port or dual port SFP+configuration and can support an aggregate input bandwidth of 4 GBytes per second (4×10 Gbs) and a host memory output bandwidth of up to 6.8 GBytes per second. Multiple onboard format conversions can also be performed, such as converting Bayre format to RGB format, converting dual color format to RGB format, etc., and then sending the image to the host system.

To make the GigE visual system more reliable, Xtium2-XGV supports hardware assisted packet retransmission and action commands for external event synchronization. And it can transmit/broadcast IEEE-1588 messages without the need for external switches.

Xtium2-XGV supports Sapera ™ LT and Teledyne FLIR ® The Spinnaker SDK for IIS.

We cordially invite you to attend the Japan International Imaging Technology Exhibition (ITE) held in Yokohama from December 6th to 8th, 2023, to watch Xtium live ™ 2-XGV PX8 demonstration. For more information, please visit Teledyne’s booth D-04 or contact us online.
