The SHINKAWA FK-202F2-3-1 is a signal conditioning unit (proximitor) for eddy-current probes. Designed for installation within a cabinet (via DIN rail or baseplate mounting), it supplies high-frequency drive power to the probe and receives the weak eddy-current signal returned by it. The unit performs signal amplification, demodulation, and linearization, outputting a standard voltage signal to downstream monitoring cards (such as the WETA or VM series monitors). It outputs a high-frequency alternating signal to drive the FL probe coil, generating eddy currents on the metal surface of the rotating shaft; changes in the gap between the probe and the shaft surface alter the eddy-current impedance, and this weak signal variation is transmitted back to the FK unit. The unit demodulates the minute impedance changes received from the probe into a continuous voltage signal proportional to the probe-to-shaft gap; it then applies linear compensation to output a standard analog signal representing radial shaft displacement or axial thrust displacement.
