I. Overall Architecture and Principles
The TTUR itself does not have a main control MCU and does not perform logic operations. It only performs signal preprocessing, electrical isolation, wiring transfer, and hardware loop interface. All protection logic (overspeed judgment, interruption logic, speed calculation) is completed by the back-end VTUR board. TTUR role: signal buffer, isolation barrier, terminal block carrier.
II. Module-by-Module Working Principle
1. MPU Magnetoelectric Speed Signal Acquisition and Conditioning Circuit (Core Circuit)
The field MPU probe outputs a sinusoidal alternating voltage signal (amplitude varies with speed, containing significant industrial interference) which is connected to the on-board terminal block;
The signal is sent to an isolation transformer: achieving electrical isolation between the field side and the control system, blocking ground loop interference and surges;
The on-board RC filter circuit filters out high-frequency noise;-1.jpg)
The impedance matching circuit adjusts the signal to a level suitable for backplane transmission;
The conditioned sinusoidal signal is sent to the VTUR via a D-Sub backplane cable;
The VTUR internal circuit converts the sinusoidal wave into pulses, calculates the speed, and performs overspeed protection judgment.
III. Core Functions
Overspeed & Interruption Protection Circuit Interface: Processes MPU magnetoelectric speed probe signals, ETS emergency interruption circuit, overspeed protection hardwiring, and includes built-in relays, isolation transformers, and signal conditioning circuits.
System Architecture Jumper Selection: Onboard jumpers support two operating modes:
TMR (Triple Redundancy 2/3 Voting): Mainstream redundancy configuration for power plants
Simplex (Single Channel Single Rack)
Synchronization and Generator Grid Connection Related Hard Contact Routing: Works with the VTUR board to complete the hardware drive and contact feedback monitoring of the synchronization closing circuit.
1. Field External Signal Access Terminal Platform
All turbine-related hard-wired field cables are directly connected to the screw terminals on this board:

Overspeed Protection External Circuit Contact
Unit tripping, start-up permission, valve limit feedback, and synchronization-related switching quantities will have field cables uniformly collected and sent to the IS200VTURH processor board via the backplane D-Sub connector.
2. Analog Speed Signal Conditioning: Built-in isolation transformer and filter circuit isolate, shape, and impedance-match the MPU sinusoidal speed signal; filter out field interference, converting the original probe signal into a standard signal recognizable by the VTUR board, serving as the signal source for speed measurement and overspeed protection.
3. Hard-wired Trip Circuit Hardware Interface: A key safety function interface supporting the turbine emergency trip hard-wired circuit: external trip contact → TTUR board → VTUR logic; some trip circuits rely on on-board relays for hardware isolation, participating in the unit’s safety trip chain.
4. Switching Input Isolation: External passive dry contact inputs are opto-isolated on the board, isolating the field power supply from the rack’s internal power supply, preventing external short circuits and surges from damaging the main control VTUR board.
5. System Redundancy Mode Configuration
Onboard configuration jumpers:
TMR Triple Redundancy Mode (Power Plant Mainstream 2/3 Voting Protection)
Simplex Single-Channel Mode jumpers determine the channel’s operating architecture; jumper settings must be checked after board replacement.
6. Status Indicators: Onboard LED indicators visually display: channel power-on, signal status, and interruption circuit status, facilitating local troubleshooting of wiring faults.
