The T8403 and T8310 trusted triple modular redundancy (TMR) expansion processor modules are independently responsible for panel status indicators and fault diagnosis reporting, and do not participate in safety control logic. Failures in non-critical areas do not affect the operation of the safety loop. If any one channel fails, the system will automatically downgrade to 2-channel operation (3→2), and safety control will not be interrupted; it will only shut down if both channels fail at the same time (2→0), meeting SIL3 safety failure requirements. The main control T8100 controller rack has limited slots, and the T8310 drives an independent expansion rack. A single expansion rack supports a maximum of 1024 points of safety I/O, and collects on-site signals in a decentralized manner, shortening on-site cables and reducing interference.
